Play that supports communication, confidence, and connection - naturally.
This group is a relaxed, neuroaffirming space for children who learn best through movement, sensory exploration, and imaginative play. Every session is child-led and unstructured, giving kids the freedom to explore in the ways that feel good for them.
Because the group is facilitated by a neurodivergent speech therapist, children get the benefits of therapy-informed play without it feeling like therapy. Support is woven gently into the environment, routines, and interactions.
Why having a speechie matters:
Communication is supported in natural, low-pressure moments
Children are met with affirming responses that honour all communication styles (spoken, non-spoken, gestures, AAC, movement, play, etc.)
Sensory needs are understood and respected, helping kids feel safe enough to engage
Social interactions are supported in a way that feels authentic and child-driven, not forced
Families can get informal guidance on communication, play, and regulation if they want it
It’s a great option for children who benefit from therapeutic understanding but don’t enjoy clinical settings
What to expect each week:
A welcoming space with playgrounds, open grass, and nature play areas
New sensory and creative materials to explore
Two session options:
• 0–3 years (younger play)
• 0–12+ years (mixed age — great for siblings and home-educating families)2-hour sessions for unhurried, meaningful play
Small group sizes for comfort, connection, and supported social experiences
A calm, inclusive environment where all movement, communication, and play styles are welcome
A nurturing space where children can explore, regulate, create, and connect - all while benefiting from a speech therapist’s understanding woven gently into the experience.
