Why this Policy Exists
At NeuroNurture, we respect your privacy and the trust you place in us. This document explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is kept safe, and what your rights are when it comes to your information.
We follow the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW), and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What Counts as Your Information
Personal information can be anything that identifies you, such as your name, address, or contact details. Sensitive information may include health records, developmental history, or cultural background. Both are treated with the highest level of care.
When and What We Collect
For Email Sign-Ups & Resources
When you join our mailing list or register for resources, mentoring, or online trainings, we collect your name and email address. This is only used to send you the information you’ve requested, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
For Clients and Families
When providing therapy, we may need information such as:
1. You and your child’s name, date of birth, and contact details
2. School or childcare information
3. Medical and developmental history
4. Reports from other professionals (with your consent)
5. Therapy records, assessments, and session notes
6. Payment details, securely processed via Stripe
We only gather information that is relevant and necessary for supporting your therapy journey.
How We Collect Information
We may collect information directly from you through:
1. Intake and consent forms (via Splose)
2. Phone calls, text messages, or email
3. In-person or telehealth sessions (including Microsoft Teams)
4. Documents and reports you provide
With your permission, we may also collect information from teachers, health professionals, or other services involved in your care.
Where and How We Keep Information Safe
We take your privacy seriously and use secure platforms to store and manage information, including:
1. Splose and Splose AI – practice management and clinical notes
2. Google Workspace – secure emails and file storage
3. Kajabi – course and webinar access
4. Microsoft Teams – telehealth services
5. Stripe – payment processing
We only use platforms that meet strict security and privacy standards.
Health records are stored as required by law:
1. Until a child turns 25 years of age
2. For 7 years after the last service for adults
After this, records are securely destroyed.
How Your Information is Used
Your information is used only for the purpose you provided it for — such as delivering therapy, managing services, or sending resources. We may also:
1. Communicate with you about your services
2. Share reports with your child’s support network (with your consent)
3. Meet our legal or professional obligations
We do not sell or trade your personal information.
Sharing Information with Others
We will only share your information when it is:
1. Directly related to your therapy and with your consent (e.g., with your child’s teacher or doctor)
2. Required by law, such as when a speech pathologist has concerns for a child’s safety (mandatory reporting)
Our Website and Cookies
When you visit our website, we may use cookies to collect anonymous statistics about site use (e.g., which pages are visited). This does not personally identify you. You can disable cookies in your browser if you prefer.
Our site may also link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and encourage you to check their policies.

From time to time, NeuroNurture may send updates about therapy services, workshops, or resources. You can opt out of these messages at any time by selecting “unsubscribe” or contacting us directly.
Your Rights
You can request access to your personal information or ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. We will usually respond within 7 days.
If we cannot give you access (for example, for legal reasons), we will explain why in writing.

If you believe your information has not been handled properly, please contact us. We will review your concern and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
